Ensuring your safety is our utmost concern here at Johnny’s Bouncy House and Party Rentals. To guarantee the safety of all guests and the preservation of our rental equipment, please adhere to the following protocols in the case of an emergency. It is imperative that you read these protocols thoroughly and make sure that all event managers are familiar with them.
In the event of a power failure:
If an inflatable begins to deflate, immediately assist participants in exiting safely. Ensure that the blower is properly connected to the power source and check for any tripped breakers. If the issue persists, unplug the blower, wait a few minutes, and replug it in. Contact us for further assistance if the problem continues.
If these units lose power, immediately disconnect them from the outlet. Check the electrical source and any extension cords being used. Do not attempt to fix the machines on your own. Notify Johnny’s Party Rentals for technical support.
If severe weather, such as strong winds (above 20-25 mph), lightning, or heavy rain, arises:
Bounce houses, slides, and inflatable obstacle courses:
Immediately evacuate all participants from the unit. Turn off the blower and deflate the inflatable to prevent damage and injuries. Inflatable units should not be used during high winds, rain, or lightning.
Tents and canopies:
Ensure all tent structures are properly secured. If wind speeds exceed safe limits, evacuate the area underneath the tent. Do not attempt to dismantle the tent during hazardous weather. Contact us if the tent structure becomes unstable or damaged.
For equipment malfunctions:
Mechanical rides (e.g., mechanical bull rental in Chicago):
Stop the ride immediately if the equipment malfunctions. Ensure participants safely dismount the ride. Do not attempt to troubleshoot or fix the mechanical equipment yourself. Call Johnny’s Party Rentals for assistance.
Interactive games (e.g., dunk tanks, inflatable games):
If these units are not functioning correctly, have all participants exit the game area immediately. Disconnect power, if applicable, and contact us for help. Never attempt to operate a malfunctioning unit.
For inflatable equipment (e.g., bounce houses, slides, and interactive games):
If an inflatable unit starts to deflate suddenly, follow these steps:
If severe weather (such as lightning or high winds) occurs, immediately turn off the blower and allow the unit to deflate. Evacuate all participants and avoid the inflatable until weather conditions improve.
For all rental items:
Water slides and dunk tanks:
In case of an emergency, remove all participants from the water slide or dunk tank immediately. Disconnect power and water sources to prevent further issues. Ensure no one is in or around the equipment while troubleshooting or waiting for assistance.
Obstacle courses and other inflatable games:
Help participants exit the obstacle course calmly if an emergency arises. Ensure no one is left inside the inflatable. Deflate the unit if necessary and call for assistance.
